Summer Internship for Biomedical Analyst Students

We are now looking for you who are studying to become a biomedical analyst and are interested in working this summer in your upcoming profession! We are offering summer internships in Transfusion Medicine in Solna, Huddinge, and Södersjukhuset.

About the Position

Clinical Immunology and Transfusion Medicine, Section of Transfusion Medicine has laboratories at all emergency hospitals within the Stockholm Region, and we are now offering summer internships in Solna, Huddinge, and Södersjukhuset.

In our units, we perform the following analyses:

• direct and indirect antiglobulin tests
• more extensive investigations of erythrocyte antibodies
• compatibility testing prior to transfusion
• investigations of transfusion complications
• blood typing and erythrocyte antibody testing for maternal health centers
• determination of antigens on recipient and donor erythrocytes prior to transplantation

As a summer intern with us, you will primarily work in blood service focusing on the reservation and distribution of various blood components to the hospital's different departments, as well as receiving blood samples for further analysis of BAS/Blood Typing.

Working hours are scheduled during day and evening hours, Monday to Friday, with placement at Södersjukhuset, Huddinge, or Solna.

Qualifications

Requirements:

• Biomedical analyst student who has completed semester 4 before summer 2026.
• Good knowledge of Swedish in speech and writing, level C1.

Meritorious:

• Previous experience in laboratory work and handling patient samples.

To be considered for a summer internship with us, you need to be able to work at least 8 weeks between June and August. A higher availability increases your chances of employment.
